Camping

Welcome to Randomland's camping section! Do you love the woodland areas? Does the idea of throwing the bare essentials in a backpack and hiking into the remote unknown entice you? If so, then you've come to the right place!

Tentin' on the Ten-Ten — Fall Camping Trip, 2009

Lake PictureLast weekend, October 9-11, 2009, Nick, Cody, and I went for an autumn camping trip near Detroit, OR. This event has been dubbed Tentin' on the Ten-Ten (month 10, day 10). It was a good time, filled with picture taking, hot dog eating, and the woodland exploration.

I have uploaded a bunch of my pictures from the trip. They are available in the image gallery, under the album "Camping." In actuality, I have uploaded less than 10% of what I took during the trip, but you probably would get bored looking through all 1600 of them. Smile

Techno Game Music

Years ago, I created some bad techno using a program known as FruityLoops (known today as FLStudio). I have posted them on Randomland before, but files get shuffled and lost often. But they're back! From now on, you can count on homemade music being linkable from randomland.net/downloads/music.

Imminence of campography

Camping. like a dark but wonderful cloud, looms on the horizon. Offering its promise of smoky, fire lit nights and long, dusty days in the woods. Life in the woods is such a delightful burden.

Camp-Camp

After days of sunny, warm weather, the skies turn a turn to gray. For some, this is a deterrent; for me, this is woodland inspiration. I love the cool, humid air blowing through the trees. Let’s go camping!

Stayton to LaGrande, and Back Again!

There is something so very therapeutic about taking a leisurely car drive. Last weekend, my old college roommate got married to a fine young lady. My wife and I were invited to attend their wedding in La Grande, Oregon. I was honored to stand at attention as second-best-man.

A Weekend Adventure!

A few weeks ago, Nick, Brad and his wife, my brother, and my wife and I went for an adventurous hike in the Lincoln City, Oregon area.

The First Order of Business -- The Lightsaber Pages!

Well, it is time for the Rec section to be visible to the public! Not because it's awesome, and not because it's full on fun and fact. No, in fact, it is quite boring. However, some old and moldy content can return to your screen -- the Lightsaber how-to's!

I'm hoping to get some more stuff up soon. Dorky homemade toys, biking adventures, hiking adventures, and rivers flowing with the goodness of God's clear mountain water -- that's what this section is all about!

How to Make a Wooden Lightsaber

These things are light and fast! Not to mention they hurt like...well, imagine getting hit by a broom handle, since that's what they are... So, please keep in mind the future of your friend you're trying to beat senseless and don't use these unless you are responsible and know what you are doing.

How to Make a 4ft Toy Lightsaber

These are slow and heavy, but are fun and great for beginners!

Supplies

Everything you need for your little venture should be readily available at your local Home Depot (we love you Home Depot!) or similar local hardware store.
