People Suck

People suck.  No time of year seems to drive that fact further home then the 'holiday' season. Mainly Black Friday. The day that stores run the same 'sales' that they have been running all year long, but throw in a few 'limited to stock on hand' items they gladly sell at a loss if it means driving the single minded masses to their store fronts. This elicits strange behavior from my consumer brethren. Some camping out days before a store opens (part of American culture mirroring the Brits love of waiting in queues.) While other just herd themselves in front of a Walmart like cattle until a critical mass is reached, the doors are broke down and the greeter gets trampled to death in a stampede of 'bargain hunters'. Yes, people suck.  Just another reason to stay home this year.

I've been sorely unimpressed

I've been sorely unimpressed by the deals at the stores this year. True, I've never paid much attention in years past, but the only thing that piqued my interest was Smallville on DVD for $15. Oh, and Tetris for $10.

Is this the pinnacle of the consumer-driven market? Mark me down as underwhelmed.
