Bike Tree Howto

If you live in a confined space and have bicycles, you may struggle with finding a good way to store them indoors. With a little inspiration and a lot of help from my friends, I created vertical bike holder.

I am now storing two adult-sized bikes indoors using less than 3 square feet of floor space. The best part is that this entire project can be built in a day for under $20 USD. The rest of this article outlines how to create your very own "bike tree."

VBoxGuestAdditions.iso Missing After Upgrading VirtualBox

This morning I decided to upgrade my copy of Sun's VirtualBox on my Win7 (RC) machine. I had been putting it off for a while but decided it was a good time to do it.

After downloading and installing the new executable, I thought it wise to test my virtual machine was still in working order. It was not, but this fix is simple. I got an error telling me that the Guest Additions file could not be found.

The solution is as simple as pointing the mounted ISO file to the proper location. Click for the full text with screenshots and further explanation.

Zourtney's Song Download Page

For years, I have played with making my very own bad-sounding music. Using a software sequencing program (formerly) known as FruityLoops, I have had lots of fun and made many embarrassing sounds and beats. I have recently started using a Linux-made clone of it called LMMS. Last week, I got a new guitar amp. I plan to start using this, and all of its fun effects to pipe-out some poorly-played guitar riffs. Then, I will smash them into these horrible songs of mine...excellent!

While most everything I make is embarrassing and unoriginal, I figured I might as well throw them up on the internet. This page is dedicated to linking up the few songs which are tolerable enough to hear once. They are quite short because I know nothing about making songs and lack originality. Nonetheless, give them a try.

Photographic Excess

We here in the randomnets have been working on a new gallery system. Its still in beta, and mostly not any better then the old one, but it fits the look and feel of Randomland better. Take a look at some of the galleries, or if you want to completely gorge on our photographic incontinence (we just cant keep them in), check out the ImageStream. Its a free flowing collection of all the images to date. Have a look.. or 400!
